About the Mission

Why This Started

I felt a pull to train for something big-something that would demand more of me, something that would give me direction when life felt heavy. Rim to Rim to Rim kept showing up. I’d hear about it, see it, think about it, and for some reason it wouldn’t leave me alone.

One night, I went through a box of my dad’s things. He passed away from colon cancer, and I hadn’t opened that box in years. Inside was a letter he wrote to me. He talked about my days in sports, how hard I played, how much he believed in me. He signed it:

“Your biggest fan.”

That line hit differently. His voice had gotten quiet over the years, but reading those words brought him right back.

Almost immediately after reading that letter, I opened social media and saw someone from my gym was taking a group to attempt Rim to Rim to Rim. It felt like a sign that was too clear to ignore. I signed up on the spot and decided to dedicate the run to my dad.

Where the Mission Came From

After committing to the run, something clicked. He really was my biggest fan. And even though he’s gone, I realized I still needed a reminder — something I could wear, something I could see, something that told me he was still there.

Still watching. Still proud. Still expecting more.

That’s where this mission began.

Why This Is Bigger Than Me

The more I thought about it, the more I realized I’m not the only one who feels this way. There are so many people out there who’ve lost someone who pushed them, supported them, or believed in them. Someone whose voice has gotten quiet over the years.

Your Biggest Fan is for them too.

This mission is bigger than my family. Bigger than a run across the Grand Canyon. And definitely bigger than me.

It’s a movement for anyone carrying the legacy of someone they loved-someone who shaped them, challenged them, and believed in who they could become.

What We Stand For

  • Legacy: The people we’ve lost still shape the way we move.

  • Discipline: We honor them by how we show up.

  • Purpose: Every mile, every challenge, every intentional step means something.

  • Community: None of us are doing this alone.

Your Biggest Fan is a reminder that belief doesn’t disappear. It lives through us.
